Just me.

I have a new compulsive behavior...

10/15- lara7 forms TacoCaco email list at yahoo groups.

10/18- lara7 adds T. as member and moderator.

10/19- 1:53 am - Our first two members have joined! List has now doubled in size!
Are they pals of T., and she added them, did they see anouncement on PDX-caco list, or did they see the flyers I distributed tonight? I don't recognize the email addresses, so it's anyone's guess.

10/20 2:06pm- check TacoCaco membership roster- Am astonished to see -2 more- members have joined in the last 12 hours. Again, I don't recognize emails, but first name on one email might be a Java Jive regular. Start musing on the "viral" nature of email groups and wonder how long it will take us to get to 20 members. Might be only a matter of days, especially if this rate of 2 members every 12 hours is typical.

So, now I have a new compulsive computer behavior. For some people, it's refreshing their ebay auctions/bids or LJ friends list to see what activity has transpired in the last hour. For me, I'm checking my yahoo groups page something like 3 times a day to see if the flyers/emails are actually reaching anyone, or at least, reaching people willing to subscribe to our list to see what we're up to.

Damn, this seems to be actually working. Unless it's all PDX and SEA shills, there might actually be enough people in Tacomatose to make this viable.
