saying And I'll feel a wee bit cheated if work closes tomorrow, since I'd have taken the day off anyway for jet-setting. proved to be prophetic. And I still got the 6am call telling me so- when I told the caller I was on vacation anyway and wasn't planning on getting up for another hour and a half, she was apologetic, but I still couldn't get back to sleep.

oh and about that jetsetting? Flight already cancelled and Orbitz bumped me to a flight leaving an hour later. Not a big deal, except now they changed my connecting flight, too: that 44 minute layover I carefully selected is now a 2 hour layover. My 7:48 pm arrival (what's for dinner, mom?) is now a 10:05 pm arrival (looks like airport pizza for me!)

For the record, Orbitz changed my flight itinerary online, but has of yet failed to email or phone me with the new info. Again, the hour later flight=no big deal. arriving at final destination 2 hours and 15 minutes late = pretty inconvenient. At least my folks already know not to wait up for dinner.

Still playing phone tag with my ride to the airport while she waits to see if her work is open or not and if she's gonna get me on the way.

Where are you off to?

I've now got a snow day too, and I wasn't on vacation. Though I won't get paid for it. Hopefully some freelance I'm suppose to get this weekend will make up for it.

Nevermind, after catching up on LJ backwards, I'm now up to speed. Sorry you didn't get to see Paul before your trip. That sucks.

Even though the police told me to go home, I still feel a bad I couldn't drive you to the airport. Thank goodness we have good buses here. I promise I'll make it up to you later!

Ha! When I flew out of Seattle after the big wind storm, we ended up 48 hours late to our destination. Then coming back we met people who'd had to sleep in the Dallas airport waiting for a flight - any flight. Two hours is nothing.
