I'm supposed to fly out to The Stick Which Is Red tomorrow to visit my folks, but I fear SeaTac is gonna screw me on this one. at least I'm connecting through Dallas and not Denver, ancestral home of the airport snow closure. The snow put the kibosh on Paul's plan to come over tonight, which is sucky because I'm not gonna see him for another week, but better he's safe at home than driving out in this mess.
The snow is unbelievably pretty, once you don't have to drive in it. My trees look like some kind of mass-produced New England winter scene painting you'd see in a hotel room. And I enjoyed the disconnect of having to clear 4 inches off my hot tub cover to have a brief soak as the flakes fell so softly I could only see them around the porchlight.
And I'll feel a wee bit cheated if work closes tomorrow, since I'd have taken the day off anyway for jet-setting.
Will attempt to report again once safely in the arms of The Stick.
