day 6!    whee !  Paul continues to be awesome about me + the 2 feline refugees staying at his place.

Also, The Stranger says institutional racism determines which neighborhoods get power first. Would someone please call City Light and tell them there's a middle-aged, white, female,  property-tax payin' , government-employee homeowner in West Seattle without power, and to please bump my neighborhood ahead of the indolent, coffee-shop habituating, hipster 20-something renters in Capitol Hill. KTHNX.

Really, if that's the case, how come the frou-frou areas around Lincoln Park and Leschi are still in the dark?

That does suck, though.

You're 4.5 years older than I am. MIDDLE-AGED MY ASS.

No use arguing the point, I will not be swayed.

welcome to Old. Population: You.

I'm already old, and it's just a matter of time for you. One of us, gooble gobble...

But I'm pleased to know you think I'll make it past 72...

Re: welcome to Old. Population: You.

Oh, so you're defining middle age as literally the center of your lifespan. That makes more sense then.
