Book blurb of the day: [Oct. 4th, 2006|10:20 am]
Just me.

Under the title of a 1968 novel called "No more Septembers" by Maurade Glennon:

A sensitive and realistic novel of the drama of unfolding womanhood

Mind you, this is the publishers blurb/teaser, not a quote from another author.

"Unfolding Womanhood" sounds dirty. Or painful. Or both.

As no one has checked this gem out since 1999, it will soon be leaving our collection for the bright lights of the booksale shelf, where it can be yours for only 50 cents.

It should be quoted in the Wikipedia article on "Eternal September."

"Unfolded womanhood" makes me think of Bill Hicks's routine about Rush Limbaugh.
