day 2, but at least I'm not puking on my clothes. [Feb. 15th, 2006|04:29 pm]
Just me.
Still feeling bad. I'm concluding that whatever it was in the vaccination that made me barf is now giving me those vague flulike aches and general ennui I'm experiencing now. bleh. Stayed home from work yet again.

I seem to remember that the last time I got a tetanus booster, I felt similarly yucky for days afterwards. I'm going to generalize that vaccinations make me ill, no matter what my general state of health is. Hopefully this will be done with soon.

For the record, the vaccination I got yesterday was Hepatitis A (the dirty food and/or bad sanitation Hep, not the Needles and or sexual contact Hep). I'm pretty sure that other than foreign travellers, the only people who get this vaccination are health care workers. Either way, not a lot of fun. Or for you eBay folks:

those vague flulike aches and general ennui

This has happened to me before, and many other folks I know. I got it in particular when I had to get shots for extended European travel. I think one of the worst of all these "flulike" reactions is the one that so many people seem to get from the flu vaccine. It's always frustrating to me to hear the so-dogmatic "you can't get flu from the vaccine" response from docs and nurses, which, while apparently factually true, does nothing to console the suffering masses.
