especially for lemur68ski- [Oct. 4th, 2004|08:40 pm]
Just me.
someone had this domain registered and had a barebones site up a day after the US Presidental debate:

Then today, I see this:

Poland said that it aims to withdraw all of its 2,500 troops from Iraq during the course of next year, a major disappointment for Washington which sees Warsaw as one of its staunchest allies in Iraq.

Poland will not be mocked (this means you, Jon Stewart!)

One site I found suggested that Italy had more troops in Iraq (3000, as opposed to Poland's 2460) than Poland- why didn't Bush bring up Italy instead of Poland? Other than Kasimir Pulaski (thank you, Big Black), I don't usually associate Poland with military strength, whereas Italy has Mussolini and all those Roman guys.

I've been waiting for Bush to blame Kerry for Poland's decision to withdraw it's troops. Obviously they must have been offended by Kerry forgetting them.

Is it any coincidence that Pope John Paul II is Polish?

I think not.

Italy (a suburb of Vatican City) and Poland are essentially the same country.

It must now be considered fact.

Imagine how the Wops feel.

I'm going to refrain from making any kielbasa jokes.

For now.

Hey, Poland did have one of the largest land empire in Europe...in like the 16th Century...which they shared with Lithuania.

I think Lech Walsea put it best. To paraphrase, much of Poland's history (the last 400 years) has consisted of being a hostel for German and Russian Soldiers.

If Bush wins the election, I hope he goes on TV and says "see, don't forget Poland!"
