pants

thank god there's a sign to set me straight....

Sign seen (in multiple locations) in a North Seattle thrift store:

PLEASE DO NOT
USE THE RESTROOM
ON OUR FLOOR

I'm horrifyied for the obvious reason that the staff thinks a sign would stop someone who presumably didn't know it wasn't okay to take a dump on the floor.
I also like the euphemism "use the restroom", since one presumes that there must BE a restroom for one to USE a restroom, and clearly if there was a Restroom, it would be okay to use it.

Related note: If you're ever in a thrift store that doesn't have a public restroom that DOES have fitting rooms, and you see a purse abandoned in the fitting room....don't open it. I think you can guess why. (no, this hasn't happened to me, but I read about it in a zine once).
