anime is the weird one- I realize it's popular with people who like what I like, but I have minimal interest. And who doesn't like writing (if they have an lj), movies, and music? why don't they suggest "breathing" and "eating" and "fucking" while they're at it?

The best 2 are the tie between TMBG and David Lynch. As I see them linked with a "people who like this also like that" tie, I'm imagining a TMBG rock opera based on David Lynch's works with happy songs about severed ears with ants crawling on them. I'd listen to that at least as often as The Plan by the Osmonds.

political commentary of the day

Dammit, Kerry. I had hoped when I heard the announcement that he'd picked a charismatic Southern Democrat named Edwards as a running mate that he'd picked the fun one, but no dice. Who doesn't want an incarcerated Cajun (with a wife 37 years his junior and named, get this, "Candy") to balance the ticket? Instead, he picked a guy who, but for an "s" on the end of his name, will be confused with The Biggest Douche in the Universe.
