mini-review: "A Mighty Wind"

Not as good as "best in Show", but better than "Waiting for Guffman". The main problem, I think, is that unlike dog shows, community theater, and if we want to include Spinal Tap in the series, dinosaur heavy metal bands, folk music of the 60's is not immediately inherently mockable, and thus the movie is a bit too subtle to be hysterically funny.

There's also the more random criticism that, when rented and viewed alongside "The Simpsons- Season 1", it's impossible to think of Harry Shearer as anyone but Principal Skinner.
