Lawrence O'Donnell now thinks Rove was not authorized to know, therefore the crime was committed when someone else told him. Also, I really doubt Bush would ever fire Rove, unless Rove told him to.

that's a really good point...it'd be like asking Cheney to fire Bush...Bush basically works </i>for</i> Rove, so he really can't fire him...

Re: you saw last night's daily show, i'm sure

That's totally ridiculous. I'm not going to comment on and ongoing investigation.

ie I love me some Jon Stewart!

Probably some staffer will take the fall. I thik his lawyer might have already volunteered to take the bullet.

Even if he does quit, he will still be unscathed in the sense that he will become a real Grey Eminence, able to continue giving advice and pulling strings but in true obscurity.

This will likely get streched out until around the 2006 election, after which Rove will leave (for whatever reason). Rove is valuable to the GOP, but I hope/don't expect this to just go away. After all, this story damaged the Media and I bet they're going to want to go after this SOB, esp. if they think it could be the next Watergate.
