2003- my year in books [Jan. 5th, 2004|01:31 am]
Just me.
[mood |innalektual]

In 2001, I started keeping a list of every book I read that year-- I read 58, 20 of which were audiobooks. In 2002, I only managed to read 33 books, 3 of which were audiobooks.

This year, I read either 38 books, or, if you want to count the 3 James Ellroy books packaged into one volume as 3 rather than one, 40 books, 15 of which (or 17, depending on the Ellroy) were audiobooks. Here they are, seperated by category (but chronologically within category):

I love seeing what other people have been reading.

I can see we have similar taste. I read this year:
1) Stupid White Men ...and Other Sorry Excuses for the State of the Nation! - Michael Moore
3) Skipping Towards Gomorrah: The Seven Deadly Sins and the Pursuit of Happiness in America- Dan Savage
8) All My life For Sale- John Fryer
10) The Hipster Handbook-Robert Lanham (ok...flipped through extensively)
16) Reefer Madness: Sex, Drugs, and Cheap Labor in the American Black Market - Eric Schlosser
14) Amazing Adventures of Kavilier and Clay- Michael Chabon

And for some reason, I own this one:

2) Don't Jump! The Northwest Winter Blues Survival Guide - by Novella Carpenter, Traci Vogel

I love keeping track of what I have read, to the point of compulsion.
